A Walk on an Old Trail and the First Village Bear

Art and I took a walk above Lake Chelan today on an old mining trail. It was beautiful and a nice break from the village.

When we got home we spotted our first bear behind the village. This guy is sleek an healthy looking. We had to chase him off, but not before I got a picture of him.

I'm guessing you meant 'trail' in the title. Bears already? Gosh, hope that a bear trend doesn't start.

oops, it was a typo. The trail was an old tram track, like a train, and my mind was thinking of both. Thanks for the note.

The first bear! Seems early from my one experience ... last year I think they waited another week or so ... especially to wander that close! Now go find the ferns unfolding.

That's sure a familiar sight!
